Customer Success Story
Food Worker WBT & Certification

An online interactive portal for Food Workers where they can learn, get certified, and print their own Food Worker card that is valid in Washington State.

The County Health Department had a Food Worker course that was delivered on kiosks placed in the Health Department. People had to visit the Health Department to learn and get certified. The department officials were struggling to deliver the Food Worker cards in time.

“I wanted to say thank you to everyone … for their enormous effort over the last several days. The migration of the food worker app went pretty smoothly, and more importantly, quickly. Once again, a sincere thank you to each of you for your effort. What a great team!”
…A Stakeholder

Vidyatech developed a portal, where people of the County could learn, get certified, and print their own bar coded Food Worker card after online payment. The admin portion of the portal enabled County Health Department officials to manage users. The portal was localized to five languages as well.

  • 78% of the Food Worker cards issued by the County Health Department have been through the online program since it was launched.
  • The testing process now takes about 60 minutes, compared to the 90-minutes it took at the health department earlier.
  • Cost of administering the program was significantly reduced.
  • Significant savings for people taking the online option.
