Cost-effective and scalable Test Labs were set up at a short-notice, while preparing the required IT infrastructure critical to handling large content and data migration onto an evolving platform.
Thanks for your support. Initially, I was a bit worried, but glad that the approach of creating multiple virtual machines using HyperV was proposed and implemented. It really helped.Project Lead, IT Infra
WHAT VIDYATECH DID?
Handling huge content and data migration with evolving platform and a lot of cross exchange among vendors in different geographies is a cumbersome and challenging task. Gearing up Test Labs under such VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous) environment can never be easy.
Due to frequent changes on multiple fronts, the testing cycle required several iterations on multiple platforms, different devices, cross browser and operating system combinations, and with varying hardware/software configurations. The installation, uninstallation, and configuration process in the usual manner could have added more frustration and bottlenecks in the execution.
Our infrastructure solutions team was called in to provide a quick scaling mechanism to the customer’s testing team. Looking at the requirements, our team devised a mechanism of rapidly preparing and configuring machines with Microsoft HyperV. Machines were created on the go, as and when needed, and the system admins ensured that the project team could focus on delivery and revenues, without worrying about the technicalities associated with test machines’ configurations.
