Uses workflows and automation to reduce incident remediation cost and improve effectiveness. Rule based assignment of incidents to stakeholder makes the process faster and more accurate. To ensure adequate control and monitoring, periodic reminders and escalations are triggered. The incident remediation process is properly tracked from its initiation till closure. Depending on the organizational policies, the investigation could pass through multiple levels and stakeholders before the incident is closed. Documentation and audit trail for the incident are automatically created. Ability to work with any DLP and multiple DLPS enables continuation of same automated workflow when one or more DLPs are changed.
When an email is quarantined by DLP, DashMagiq® automatically notifies the sender’s manager or an appropriate stakeholder. Manager reviews the emails and answers a simple questionnaire to record the reasoning behind the decision to release or delete emails in quarantine. This is preferred by businesses because critical communications do not become irretrievable due to false positive incidents. Providing business leaders, the ability to review and decide on email quarantine mitigates the need to constantly water down the DLP email policies to satisfy business groups. This saves lot of time and cost for the DLP managers and email policies can be as strict as needed.
Manually maintaining audit history for DLP policy updates is a cumbersome activity. This module helps you automate the DLP policy change requests as users submit the requirements using simple questionnaires on DashMagiq®. The request goes through an approval workflow involving key stakeholders in the organization. Approved requests are automatically executed on the DLP console by DashMagiq®. The module also monitors the DLP console for any unapproved updates to the policies done directly on the console and generates alerts. Audit history for all DLP policy updates is automatically created by DashMagiq® for compliance records.
Standards such as PCI-DSS, the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) mandate that sensitive data is never stored in unprotected locations like endpoint machines and unprotected file shares. Business teams often push back the automatic delete/quarantine remediation actions offered by DLP systems. DashMagiq® helps meet the needs of Business teams and the Compliance team by redacting only the sensitive information in the documents while leaving other contents unchanged. The original document is retained in an encrypted format with access control.
Typically, more than 80% alerts from a DLP system are classified as false positives after manual review. This module provides an AI/ML powered method to automatically classify the incidents based on historical incident handling data of your organization.
